Outfits of 2013!

I'm sure you know that it's coming to the end of the 2013, where has the time gone? It's been an unfortunate year full of bad news, natural disaster and illnesses but hopefully the New Year will be a lot better and we can move on past this one!

You'll probably be seeing a similar post to this in the next week or even before now, A couple of blogs I follow have already started. But I thought I'd would just show you my OOTD of this year, so without further ado...

Looking back on these I see how little I blogged this year and although I really felt my blog came into its own these last couple of months, this makes me a little sad to see. However next year this will all change!

As you can see throughout the year I've had issues with lighting, background and quality. But this is something I'm still working on and hoping to improve! Hopefully my new camera will help make a difference! You can really tell how I've changed and how my style has throughout the year and although still similar some outfits are just not cool!

Have you done a post like this yet? I love reading them leave a link or comment letting me know!

What I got for Christmas '13!

First off I just want too say I'm not bragging about anything got, I'm just so happy and excited about everything I got I wanted to share with you, really it's just like any other haul or as if you were my friends and I had asked you and you had asked me! What did you guys get? leave me a comment or post/video link below! I love reading or watching these on youtube so I thought I'd share with you my goodies.

Every Christmas eve, even my Nan or my mum have brought me and my siblings a new pair of pyjamas that are wrapped and we are able to open on Christmas day; so we're able to wear them that night and open our pressies in new pyjamas. I love this tradition and I hope it never ends, even when I'm old and grey!

I opened this cute like pjs, from primark, which have cute little robins on the leg and just a jumper style top. They are super warm and cosy, although they have a hole in the crotch and thread coming off the arms, so maybe not the best quality. Either way they are super festive and Robins are just too cute to resist right?!

I've got some wonderful things that I can't wait to wear, try out and show you guys!

Such as these clothes, you can never go wrong with clothes, I did choose all these myself and they are pieces I just couldn't pass up! Thanks Nan! I got some amazing variation in fabric, pattern and style which are me down to a T, i have in fact already posted 2 OOTD's featuring some of these items. Here and here

These were my the two things that I asked for and my main present, everything else from my mum or dad was a bonus! From my mum she got me a new camera, which is a SONY Cyber-Shot optical steady shot, there was a bit of a palava with this as my mum believes she ordered the wrong one as it doesn't do some of the things I wanted. However that doesn't mean I'm any less pleased with it the improvement in my photos alone are already so noticeable in the OOTDs and Christmas snaps I shared with you guys!

My dad got me an Ipod classic, I'm one of those who like having everything seperate, I don't want my music on my phone. So I asked for this iPod which I was sure I wasn't getting, I didn't want one of the new touch but i wanted to keep it pretty old school and this beauty is a 160GB which is amazing and i'm so happy with it can't wait to get all my music on it! He also brought me the headphones which are ATARI and they are the most comfortable headphones I've owned, yes that include you beats and they are super loud which is always a plus in my book; I'd actually rather have these over beats now! My dad was dissapointed I had not clue who or what ATARI apparently they made all those old school video games?!

This is one of my all time favourite presents that I've ever gotten! If you know me or follow me on twitter you should probably know that I am a massive fan of Harry Potter, I have read and watched the films and books countless of times, cant practically say the script for you and have a Dumbledore quote on my arm. No one has actually figured that out yet! Anyway I've gone of subject, I haven't wanted these books since I first read the Philosophers Stone way back when I was a nipper and they were mentioned and advertised in there, but I had no clue where I could get them nor did my family (nor did they really care) BUT finally i own them and I shall treasure them always.

I've wanted to see RED since it came out, but it wasn't anyone I knew's cup of tea, hello they are spy's people?! Lilo and Stitch is one of my favourite Disney movies (if you can choose that is) and Stitch is my all time favourite character, so now owning all 3 of the movies I'll be all Lilo and stitched out!

Mulan I have never seen and is actually the only DVD I asked for, but I love the story behind this one, I'm a bit of a feminist okay and the songs are pretty catchy. let get down to business to defeat the HUNS! So I am super excited to watch that.

Russell Brand is my favourite comedian, so I just had to watch this one straight away and i'd definitely recommend watching it if you love him or comdeians! Every thing he says, you're actually taking in and thinking YES you are so right, solidarity sista! or something along those lines anyway.

From left to right at the back - Beyonce Midnight heat - Lady Gaga Fame. Both these smell gorgeous, I had yet to find a scent that I loved and wanted to wear all the time, but I think I'll be using these all the time; especially Gagas. I'd also just like to point out the bottles, how amazing are they and hello black liquid?!

From left to right - Natural collection PRALINE - Avon ROARING BLUE - Natural Collection LUNAR HAZE. I'm not a massive nail varnish wearer purely because I'm so rubbish at being girly I completely fail apply it. However i did have ago the other night using Lunar Haze and Roaring blue and I think they are both lovely colours and actually work well together, I also thing the Lunar Haze might be really nice on top of a white, so I'm hoping to find to try that out!

How cute are those Zebra glove/mittens?! I have been on the hunt for some knitted mittens this exact style, but couldn't seem to find any anywhere, which is crazy! But these are so cute I wont not be able to wear them.

I Chose the other two pieces of jewellry, I love the moon I think its so beautiful and peaceful so I wanted a moon necklace but one I could wear with any outfit and I think this one from Waiste is perfect!

I'd been debating with myself about getting a choker for ages, my mum told me not too and I'm not a fan of things touching my neck, it makes me feel like someones choking me, funnily enough. However I love the look of them and this one drew my eye straight away and I couldn't pass it up, so I'm excited to wear that out!

I love bags, when I was younger every time I went shopping I came back with a new one. However now I like to think I have a little more self control! I wanted a bag that was structured, small but could fit a far amount in if needs be. So hello Zaras Mini city bag, I hope you'll be happy hear. The other one is from new look which my muv got me for Christmas which again is the perfect size, but is a lot more casual and able to be paired with anything!

I hope you enjoyed having a little peak at some of the things I got for Christmas! I hope you all had a fantastic Christmas! Remember to leave your links below to a similar post or video!

OOTD - Boxing in a smock

Today's outfit was a little more girly, like most people I like to wear my new clothes as soon as possible, actually I just want to wear all of them in one day! This is one of my Christmas gifts from my nan and I love it!

It's such a bold bright print, I just love the combination of the hot pink and and cobalt blue, it's colours I wouldn't have thought to pair  myself but whoever did  is genius! My smock collection is slowly getting bigger and I'm happy to introduce this one into the family, you could never tell I even had a food baby, major plus at Christmas time I think! I paired it with plain black tights and black converse, because of course converse go with everything!

It's Christmas Eve!

So finally it's Christmas Eve, this feels like the longest week of my life! Although I'm feeling pretty Ill I'm not going to let it ruin my Christmas.

Christmas Eve means the Christmas sweets and drinks are out and allowed to be eaten or drunk, it's been in teasing us for almost a month now. Last minute present buying and wrapping, and catching up on those Christmas movies and tv shows (not so) patiently waiting for the evening so you are able to get in bed and wait for morning where the pressies are sitting under the tree And you know Christmas dinner is only hours later. I can never fall asleep, even when in super tired, it's a curse. I. Sure it's not just me though right?! I also look forward to the Christmassy vlogs/blog posts that will be coming, I'm nosy and like knowing what you guys have been wearing, been up too or what you have got that year

One of our Christmas traditions is opening a Wrapped present which contains new pyjamas, so we can open our presents all snugly and Christmassy! Do you have any Christmas Eve traditions? What are they?

Hope you all have a wonderful Christmas!

OOTN - Ruby Anniversary!

Today is my Nan and Grandads Ruby Anniversary, thats 40 years of marriage, thats a bloody long time if I do say so myself! I thought I'd show a quick snapshot of my outfit. I think this is a pretty effective layout to show you parts of my outfit, while the lighting is rubbish or my photos just wont go right!

As the little get together/party is at their house and it was all family, I wanted to keep it dressy but casual. So I chose to wear my leather trousers, a gorgeous crop top, both from Topshop, I love this top, It so dainty and detailed but its also completely see through which means I hardly wear it!

6 more sleeps to go!

Although I've been ready for Christmas since before Halloween, today I'm feeling super Christmassy! We exchanged our (not so) secret Santa presents and it was the last day of college term AND it's the 19th which means its the 20th tomorrow which means only 5 days too CHRISTMAAAS.

So I've got my Christmas socks on, music playing out my speakers and I've printed a few quiz's in preparation for Christmas and Boxing day!

So I thought I'd share some of my favourite Christmas songs with you!

Of course!

I'm on Pinterest!

I've actually been on Pinterest for a while now and only used it occasionally, honestly I completely forgot about until a month or two ago. I had the eureka moment of linking my blog to Pinterest, not only is it another social networking site but I knew I'd use it a lot more and I was right I do! So I created a new one with my blog email and as you can see I have pin boards for my blog, college and just everyday inspiration.

It's quickly become one of my favourite apps/website to use, the amount of inspiration and on any topic I find on here is amazing, I've got Christmas ideas, decor ideas, fashion ideas, inspiring quotes even stuff for college. It's just so easy to use and everything is so organised, which is a plus in my book.

Follow me at: Pinterest.com/wondersofdreams and I'll definitely check out yours!

College week 8

So this week at college I learned I cannot draw people, although it's definitely an improvement from a year ago. It actually represents a person, no matter the odd proportions, that counts for something right?!

We've been doing our new project for about two weeks now and already we have so much sketchbook work to do. It will be the end of me, just saying!

Although I am enjoying our new project, this week we made custom pattern blocks, who knew the amount of work that went into it?! Props to those who have to do it full time!
Also a big part of our work is fashion illustration, I've found some great illustrators, thanks to those who recommended a few! Unfortunately that's led to u drawing our own, a lot! Blah I'm so bad it! When I can't draw something I get angry and refuse to do anymore of it, which I can't do anymore. Blah. Saying that though you get some weird illustrations out there so they're obviously mentto look like that, just call it art!

OOTD - fluffy in mom jeans

So this is a little different ootd, but I didn't want to skip a post like I did yesterday. Sunday blogging inspiration is hard to find okay!): I had to change it up because I seem to have lost my camera and this family seems to be incapable of taking a half decent photo on a phone, need a new blogging family!

So hopefully it's not too bad! I wore a pretty simple outfit today, including both my well worn Asos fluffy jumper and Topshop mom jeans, both well loved, Ive actually paired these together before by never seemed to take a photo of my outfit. I just paired it with my vans and not  my Christmas socks my photo would have you believe and my stone necklace. Which broke literally minutes before I sat down to write this post, so annoyed, damn you fluffy jumper!

Hanging Heart DIY #bigblogmasproject day 6

I made a couple of these a few weeks back and felt they would be perfect to share with you as part of the #bigblogmasproject. I think there perfect for either all year round hanging off your wardrobe or bed, in shops there often filled with smellies which would be easy to do as well. This could either be for  a Christmas present or a decoration, I think homemade gifts are lovely and just add such a personal touch and it's super easy for those with little sewing experience and only takes up to half hour going at a slow pace. Bonus!

What you need?

  • A heart template, I just printed one off the computer,
  • Fabric of your choice I chose candy cane and holly printed fabric form fabric land.
  • Pins, these are optional but makes it loads easier!
  • Fabric scissors
  • Stuffing, I just used the inside of an old pillow that was about to be thrown out.
  • Ribbon
  • needle
  • Christmas album because you cant be doing Christmassy things without oh I wish it could be christmas everydaaaaaaaa, blaring in the background for a good ol' sing'a'long!

Pin the template to the fabric and cut around it. I folded over my fabric to make it quicker, so I wouldn't have to cut out two parts separately. My hands look like they've aged a hundered years in that picture!

Make sure that the wrong side of the fabric are facing the inside, place them on top of each other and pin together, a cm away from the edge, leaving room for the ribbon.

Thread the needle with the ribbon. I started from the bottom of the heart, in the corner, up one side to midway of the top curve of the heart. You can see what I mean better in the picture below.

I got to hear and started to stuff the heart, it can be as much or as little as you like. There is probably an easier way to do this but I found this worked for me. Once your satisfied with the amount of stuffing sew the rest of the way round. Here I inserted the loop to hanging it from but you can add this at the end as well.

Once you've done find somewhere to hang them so they can look pretty.

So that is my first ever DIY post, I wasn't too sure how to photograph so I hope this okay. I'd love to know your thoughts and if you are going to make one or have before.
