What's in my bag? 2014

bag - Zara, iPad - Present, iPod - Present, Purse - Ebay, Phone case - Primark, Book and pen - Random, Socks - Primark, Raybans - Optitions, Throwover - Primark

So I thought I'd give you a little insight into what I carry, on a daily bases, in my bag. I'm not one of those who carries their whole house in their bag, actually I hardly ever fill my bag up! What do you guys even put in there?! I love watching/reading these types of videos/posts mainly because I'm a nosy begger and for inspiration!

I also filmed a little YouTube video, if you want the ins and outs of my bag and my ramblings or prefer videos!

It would be fab if you liked or subscribed to my channel, also leave your links in a comment below to posts or videos!

OOTD - College comforts

Kimono - Primark
Top - River Island
Necklace - Waiste
Jeans - Topshop
Socks - Priamark
Docs - some online shop

This is just a comfy outfit for college and spring, I really love Kimonos and the whole new look they give to an outfit! They're one of those items that make you feel all whimsical and floaty, does that even make sense? I also feel like I should be wearing some type of lingerie with it, oh god.

I just paired it with my docs that I have yet to really wear out as I'm in the midsts of breaking them in. I love the colour, white is the perfect spring/summer colour, I can't wait to pair them with summer dresses and shorts, they're the perfect shoe for all year round especially in wet/cold England. I added these cute socks, mainly for comfort but to add a bit of a girly edge to what could be a manly shoe!

My blogging schedule!

So I think its time I make myself stick to a schedule and getting my blog organised! How many times have I said this now? Once, twice or a hundred?! I've finally learnt that I'm unable to blog everyday no matter how hard I try, I just don't have enough ootds ready or available without repeating myself.

So I've decided I'm going to blog 3 times a week for now (hopefully in the future it'll be more) Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday these will mostly be OOTDs

A blogging revelation...

Image found on Google images
The last couple of days I've been really thinking about my blog, why I started it and looking back at old posts and I've come to the conclusion that I've lost my blogging way!

When I started my blog was intended as a personal style blog and well its not, not really. While trying to make my blog, I've gone off what it was originally meant to be and gone in in different directions in an attempt to please all kinds of blog readers and so I wasn't having a large period of time not blogging! I feel kind of pressured with not having new clothes to show all the time and worrying that its going to start becoming a bit repetitive; I am an outfit repeater!

In an attempt to get my blog back to its roots and to a teens good intentions, I'm going to give myself set days to blog (there will be a post about this) so hopefully they become more regular. The majority Is going to be outfit posts with the odd hauls, products I use on my hair or face and posts about things that I love, because as I see it these are personal to me and they do in a way show my style in everyday life too? Only god knows what I'm talking about now! Oh and probably days out because I just love documenting them, it  makes me happy!

However at the moment my personal life is not at its best, so I don't know when I'll be blogging next hopefully not to long. I don't really want to be doing anything but this could be a good distraction!

Review - Avene Hydrating serum

Now to be honest with you I had no idea what hydrating serum actually was, but my skin is one of those things I'm always looking to improve. So after a little research I thought why not and gave it a go!

Hydrating serum is used after a cleanser and before moisturising, I used the Avene extremely gentle cleanser (in the photo below), because my skin breaks out with anything and this seems to actually get on with my skin for a bit.

Another confession is I'm rubbish with routine, I have yet to stick a daily face routine with switching to face wipes, far more often then I should, because honestly there quick and I'm lazy!

So giving it my best I used this almost everyday with a little sample moisturiser I got from Escentual. ANYWAY, getting back on track, I really liked this product! I really liked the packaging, I think it looks like an expensive product but really its affordable. You need the tiniest bit to cover all your face, I've hardly touched the surface of it! After using it my skin is a lot clearer, softer and less redness, its definitely made a difference.  Reading other reviews I'm convinced that if used regularly this would become an essential in mine and everyone else's daily face routine and if given the chance you should definitely order online or pick this up!

While your still here check out Escentual they have some wonderful products!

Opportunities

Last week I was lucky enough, with my college class, to go to Southampton Solent Uni for a tour of their fashion department and the pop up shop they have open. This is the year we have to start applying for uni (I'm finally getting round to it, 2 years late then my friends) so it was really handy getting to look round their facilities and all the different opportunities they have to offer!

We got to have a go at a bit of visual merchandising, taking over their display in the middle of the shopping centre where their pop up shop is based. Which not only is it good practice but its a big plus for our current project - pop up shop; where we create and design our own collection and the shop we would open.

The photos below are of the display we did using all products from their shop.
